WWW Wednesday – December 9, 2020

Happy Wednesday everyone! It is time for another WWW Wednesday post and I am eager to share my list with you today.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme brought to us by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. What do the three W’s stand for? I’m glad you asked. They ask the three What questions of the week:

What book(s) are you currently reading?

What book(s) have you recently finished?

What book(s) are you going to read next?

Yep, I’m still on this one, though I did read a few more chapters and it just keeps getting better and better. I hope to have this one done in the next few days and a review up soon after.

I am reading this one for Emma over at Damppebbles Blog Tours and I am a few chapters in. So far it is okay, but not extraordinary. I hope it gets better. My review for this title will be posted on December 11, 2020.

I am reading Tristan Strong as part of a Middle Grade Marvels read -along. I am loving it so far. I missed the first discussion group, but I am still reading along and so far so good. I may have found my next favorite series.

Oh, The Devil in the Dark Water is a book club read with some of the gang from The Write Reads. We are just getting into it and so far it is fairly chilling and I am excited to read the next section. Demons on a boat is right up my alley.

Winterling is another read -along with Middle Grade Marvels. I am just to the first exciting part and I am ready for more. It is a pretty short book compared to Tristan Strong and is full of magic and other worlds. I am excited to see how the magical world building goes.

This was a great book! It was a little predictable throughout, but the ending caught me off guard and I was shocked. I gave this one 4 out of 5 stars. You can see my review here.

Twenty Years a Stranger was an excellent read. I couldn’t stop reading. Every time I thought that the novel had reached the logical conclusion, Deborah Twelves gave me something brand new to gasp over. I rated it a full 5 out of 5 stars. The crazy thing is that this thriller is based on true events. You can read my review here.

I borrowed Letter From Father Christmas from my local library. Tolkien is an absolute genius and his letters to his children written as Father Christmas are delightful. I read this one as part of the #HypeathonReadathon and their #MerryDecember read -along. I can’t recommend this one enough. You can see my library copy and a very big blast from the past in this Instagram post.

I am reading this one for Emma at Damppebbles Blog Tours. I have completely forgotten what it is about and I’m having a wild imagination trying to figure it out from the cover. My review for this one will be posted on December 13, 2020.

This is one that I am very excited about. I love all things British royalty and I am sure this book won’t disappoint. Plus it is one of my NetGalley reads so that will mark one up on the old ratio.

I bought this Audible book the other day for 82 cents (US) and I can’t wait to give it a listen. This is another title for the #HypeathonReadathon as part of #MerryDecember. I’ve seen a lot of different variations of this book in movie form, but I have never read it. Actually, I may have read the Disney version, but never the original Dickens. So, I am really looking forward to it.

It’s a big week this week. Have you read any of the books on my list? I hope to hear all about them.
