Jennifer Ann Shore has done it again with her new book Yes, Your Majesty. This novel is the second installment of the Royally Human Vampire series. We get to check back in with Mina, Eloise, Charlie, and Theo as Mina faces some tough challenges. Being as she is the newly crowned Vampire Queen of Appalachia.

I was hoping for a lot of answered questions with this sequel. The ending of Metallic Red was disappointing for me. Unfortunately, I still didn’t get what I wanted. But, I am thrilled with how the turn came about, and this novel was much more satisfying for me.

I didn’t know what to expect with Yes, Your Majesty. I had no idea where the story would go, but I will tell you, my imagination didn’t picture any of the things that happened. This book is so far out of the realm of what I expected that it almost seems like a different book altogether. However, I must add, my imagination is nowhere as good as Jennifer Ann Shore’s. She created a world that I would love to see and experience.

Mina and Theo’s relationship was not the one I was rooting for. And why the ending of Metallic Red was disappointing for me. But Mina is a different person now, and the excitement of her budding romance with Theo is enchanting. I found myself rooting for them, which shocked me to my core. I am a die-hard Charlie fan…or was before Yes, Your Majesty told me differently.

I do hope that there will be more from Mina and the gang in the future. But, even if this is the last book, I am content with how things turned out. Though Mina is still a bit whiney, and I could do without the extra angst from her mind, but all in all, this is a great sequel.

I am happy to award Yes, Your Majesty 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to vampire lovers who want more than sparkly and sulking.
