Life in Books Book Tag

Hi everyone! I wanted to do the Life in Books Book Tag for some time, but it wasn’t until I came across it on Lili’s blog Lili’s Blissful Pages a week or so ago. Her answers were so fun, so I figured it was time to get on to my own list. I hope you like it!

We don’t who the original creator is so if it’s you or you know who it is, please let us know. We want to give them credit.

Let’s get started.

1.) Find a book for each of your initials.

My initials are KAG.

2.) Count your age along your bookshelf – what book is it?

I don’t have any of my physical bookshelves set up so I am going to pick from my Goodreads bookshelf.

3.) Name a book set in your city/country.

There aren’t that many books set in my city, but a search on Goodreads gave me this one. It’s a paranormal vampire story in case you wanted to look it up.

4.) Name a book that represents a destination you’d love to travel to.

There are so many destinations I want to visit. Wonderland, the Wizarding World, and Middle Earth among them. But for this tag I will choose somewhere a little more realistic and choose Scotland. Though, technically, this one is set in London and Scotland, but I do want to visit both.

5.) Name your favourite childhood book.

There are so many beloved books from my childhood. My first love was Judy Blume. Her novels changed my life and got me through my tweens.

6.) Name a book that’s your favourite colour.

My favorite colors are pink, yellow, and orange. But for this challenge I’m going with pink.

7.) Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

When I was in school I did everything I could to get out of assigned reading. Thus, I had no classics under my belt. When I was about 35 or so, I met a group of people who were all very smart and I felt very stupid in their company, so I decided to educate myself. The very first classic I picked up was Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. The rest is history and this is now my favorite book of all time.

8.) Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

The hardest book I’ve ever read is Beloved by Toni Morrison. What Sethe went through has been stamped on my heart forever. The book is wonderful, but heartbreaking subject matter is what made it hard.

9.) Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?

Without a doubt, it will be Le Mis. I’ve been wanting to read it for years but kept putting it off because it is intimidating. So, when I do finally read it, I will be elated.

And, that’s it for this tag. I had a great time doing this one, though a few were a bit hard.

I’m going to tag: Jenny, Hannah, Kerri, Aviaja, and Esther. If you choose to do this one, please link back so I can read your answers. 🙂
